Responding to over 2000 calls from the media every year, beat has installed a broadcast quality audio system for contributions to radio (and television) broadcasts. The ISDN audio mixer and codek are compatible with BBC local radio & TV stations, ILR radio stations as well as ILR News and ITN.
beat has spokespeople who are prepared to talk about all aspects of eating disorders and to take part in news, discussion and magazine programmes. We also have a large database of sufferers, carers and professionals who are prepared to talk to the media.
For the technically minded the kit installed at beat is the Glensound GSGC5X mixer codek with APTX and G722 Codecs. The microphone and headphones are broadcast quality Sennheiser equipment. All the kit was supplied by Canford Audio.
